Paws and Porcelain

My name is Judith Le Fleming.

I’ve been making and repairing porcelain (china) dolls and teddy bears, and their clothes, in Manawatu, New Zealand for over 25 years. I also pass on my skills in doll- and teddy-making through relaxed and social workshops in my studio, not far from Feilding.

Receiving and mending treasured heirloom toys sent from all around New Zealand, I feel honoured to give them a new lease of life. It’s a pleasure to see a sparkle in the eye of beloved childhood companions and their owners alike.

With attention to historical accuracy in clothing, materials, embroidery, painting, hairstyles and more, you’ll be able to appreciate your doll or teddy as you remember it.

I also cast and fire my own porcelain dolls’ limbs, bodies and heads in a vast range of modern and traditional styles, and take commissions for brand new teddy bears and porcelain dolls.
